FIDE, in a press release sent exclusively to Yottachess, has announced the cancellation of all the results, considering that the exclusion of Teymur Radjabov was unfair and deserved to take part in the event.
However, in the absence of material time to hold a new competition and for the champion to properly prepare for the World Championship, FIDE has decided to give the place in the title match to Beth Harmon , who will be the first woman to qualify for the world title.
The match between Magnus Carlsen and Beth Harmon will take place from February 15 to 29, 2021 at the Cathedral of St. Inocente in Russia.
